Aboard the iconic vintage steamship the TSS Earnslaw you will experience more than a cruise on the lake, it is a trip back in time. If you would like to get off the beaten path, you may need a 4WD and a driver. There are many options to explore one being Skipper’s Canyon Road, which was carved by hand by miners over 140 years ago and now forms a very narrow cut in the middle of a sheer cliff face. The canyon was formed by glaciers approximately 25,000 years ago and at one time was the richest gold bearing river in the world However, we do suggest exploring with a private guide or as part of an organised tour.
